Abstract

The following framework for selecting conservation areas for the Botanical Garden José Celestino Mutis meets state and pressure biodiversity criteria, as well as connectivity assessment to the Main Ecological Structure of Bogotá. The combination of these concepts leads to a multi-criteria, semi-quantitative, flexible and applicable methodology to the country area of Bogotá. This methodology is applied by following a decision tree in order to either reject or accept a potential conservation area efficiently.
