Effect of topoclimatic factors on an ecological restoration strategy in a burned area

Abstract
In the Ecological District Park of Mountain Entrenubes, specifically in the Cuchilla del Gavilán, two experimental units were established to define if the ecological restoration strategy implemented in the two slopes of the knife were effective for the recovery of the Andean Forest, after the of fire event that took place in February 2017, the effect of windward and leeward faces was evaluated regarding plant growth and development. This effect on the planted vegetation were evaluated with multiple linear regressions that included functional traits such as leaf area (AF), wood density (DM), foliar dry matter content (CFMS) and specific leaf area (AFE). The partial results of the investigation showed in all the models, a greater increase in height and greater crown projection on the windward slope. In the case of mortality, the leeward slope presents a higher general mortality of individuals. These results are probably explained, by the humidity variations in each of the slopes, however, in order to explain the correlations in detail, it is necessary to include more functional and environmental variables.
