Apuntes Fitogeográficos de la “Ladera Cielo-Roto”, sector suroccidental de la Serranía de la Macarena

Abstract

A transect was carried out, from the alluvial plain of the Guayabera river, to the summit of the higher scarp at «Cielo Roto» hillside, southwest sector of the Serranía de la Macarena, which constitutes the first approach to the biophysical knowledge of this area. The physiognomic features of the vegetation (at big landscapes level), al the different landscape units, are described likewise, information about the floristic composition is included, even the vegetation associated with the rocky places found at the sector; with emphasis on the shrub and herbaceous stratum; botanical collections were carried out, which were identified at the Herbario Amazónico Colombiano (COAH), of the Instituto Amazónico de Investigaciones Científicas, SINCHI, and the Herbario Nacional Colombiano (COL) of the Instituto de Ciencias Naturales, Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
