Evaluación de fuentes semilleras de Buddleja bullata (BUDDLEJACEAE) como especie potencial para restauración ecológica

Abstract

In this study we determined the geographical distribution of the species Buddleja bullata in Bogota and surrounding the Sabana de Bogotá by reviewing records and georeferenced herbarium of new individuals in the field and assessed the density, population structure and performance of seedlings under four treatments (0.5% indole butyric acid, 1%, 1.5% and control) in four populations taken as a seed source (village of Las Margaritas - Usme village of El Hato - Usme, Pasquilla sidewalk - sidewalk Ciudad Bolivar and clear waters - Choachí) with to determine their conservation status in situ and ex situ propagation capacity. We found that population densities are variable, populations of Margaritas and El Hato have mostly juveniles of small and intermediate sizes (0.1 - 5 m), while populations dominated Pasquilla Choachí and adults (5 to 9 m) with no youth. Statistically, treatments did not differ significantly, however, the cuttings from the village of El Hato showed the greatest number of individuals regrown, the population of the village of Las Margaritas was attacked by a fungus that significantly increased the mortality of the cuttings in all treatments. It is important to perform such work in other populations and evaluate the spread by seed, since this species has characteristics that may make it a key species for restoration work.
