Abstract
The present study the germinative process on ripe seeds of Odontoglossum luteopurpureum H.B.K., Epidendrum chioneum, Comparettia macroplectron Poepp. & Endl. and Epidendrum aff. portakalium using Knudson C medium and the growth regulators benzilaminopurine, BAP, and indolbutyric acid, IBA, –0-1-2 ppm–. The great influence of cytokines and auxins application on the protocorms formation was observed, except on the seeds of Epidendrum aff. portakalium where Knudson C medium without phytohormones allowed germination in a short time of evaluation.
