Local urban tree planting programs: structure and distribution of tree cover in Chapinero locality

Abstract

In this article the suggested methods and basic contents for a local urban tree planning action are presented. These were formulated based upon the inventory of urban trees in Bogota, D.C. A case study on urban tree structure and distribution from the locality of Chapinero is presented, proposing it as an example of how to use information from the inventory as input for the planning process.
